3D PRINTING
In-house 3D printing at our Brisbane facility — FDM prototypes, SLA precision parts, SLS production runs and metal DMLS. Same-day quotes for Brisbane clients, ships Australia-wide in 3–5 days. No outsourcing, full quality control.
Materials we print
3D printing technologies we offer
Fused Deposition
Best for functional prototypes, jigs & fixtures. Wide material range, fast turnaround, most cost-effective for large parts.
Stereolithography
Ultra-fine detail for dental, jewellery and display models. Smooth surface finish straight off the printer.
Powder Bed Fusion
No supports needed. Complex geometries, interlocking parts, production volumes in Nylon, TPU and glass-filled grades.
DMLS / SLM
Production-grade metal parts with full mechanical properties. Stainless steel, titanium, aluminium and nickel alloys.
- Single prototype to 10,000+ part production runs
- DFM (Design for Manufacturing) review on every order
- Post-processing: painting, priming, tapping, insert installation
- Colour matching to Pantone or RAL
- Dimensional inspection report on request
- Same-day dispatch on express FDM orders before 10am
- Aerospace & Defence — AS9100 awareness, NDA standard
- Medical & Dental — biocompatible resins, ISO compliance support
- Automotive — functional prototypes, jigs, end-of-arm tooling
- Architecture — concept models, scale models at high resolution
- Mining & Resources — field-replaceable parts, rapid production
- Education & Research — no minimum, student discounts available
How is 3D printing priced?
Every part is quoted individually. There are no setup fees and no minimum order quantity for prototypes — we will print and ship a single part.
What influences the quote:
- Technology — FDM is the most cost-effective for prototypes; SLA gives the finest surface finish; SLS and MJF are best for production-grade nylon parts; DMLS for end-use metal parts
- Material — engineering thermoplastics, photopolymers, nylons and metals each have different cost profiles
- Volume and weight — build time and material consumption are the two main drivers
- Post-processing — sanding, painting, vapour smoothing, threaded inserts, dyeing
- Batch size — volume discounts apply to repeat runs of the same part

How long does 3D printing take?
Standard turnaround is 3–5 business days from file approval to shipped part. Faster options are available for rush prototypes.
- FDM rush service — 24-hour turnaround available for parts under 200 × 200 × 200 mm
- SLA / resin standard — 2–3 business days
- SLS / MJF Nylon batch runs — 5–7 business days (multiple parts share the build chamber)
- DMLS metal parts — 7–14 business days depending on alloy and heat treatment
- Shipping — overnight Express Post within capital cities, 2–3 days regional
All timelines start once the design is print-ready. If your file needs adjustments, our in-house CAD design team can prepare it — usually within the same 3–5 day window.

3D PRINTING IN BRISBANE
Our 3D printing facility is based in Milton, Brisbane — running FDM, SLA, SLS, MJF and metal DMLS printers under one roof. Brisbane clients can deliver files in person, pick up parts the same week, or have prints couriered to anywhere in Greater Brisbane within 24-48 hours. For regional Queensland and interstate orders we ship Australia-wide in 3-5 days.
Brisbane sectors we print for: mining and resources (Bowen Basin, Surat Basin custom tooling, replacement parts and field-repair prints for shutdown maintenance), marine (Moreton Bay vessel fittings, propeller patterns and prototype hull components), aerospace and defence (Amberley-area legacy part reproduction, lightweight composite tooling), automotive and motorsport (Queensland Raceway and Lakeside teams — printed brackets, ducting, intake parts), medical and dental (Herston and Spring Hill clinics — surgical guides, anatomical models), and manufacturing (West End, Eagle Farm, Yatala industrial estates — production-run printed parts in nylon, PEEK and metal).
Brisbane turnaround: same-day quote within business hours, FDM/SLA prototypes typically 1-3 business days, SLS and MJF production parts 3-5 days, metal DMLS 7-10 days. Rush orders accommodated where capacity allows. NDA included as standard for all sensitive work — proprietary designs, R&D prototypes and pre-production parts.
BRISBANE AREAS COVERED
